Terence J. Houlihan

Terence Houlihan, M.S. Ed., CRS, has been an educator since 1995, working in high schools and higher education institutions in NYC and Westchester County. He earned his B.A. in the humanities from Manhattan College and his Master's in counselor education from the City University of New York-Lehman and was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the National Honor Society for professional counselors. He is currently teaching evening classes for the graduate program in school counseling at the City University of NY, Lehman College. He has been an adjunct instructor at the College of New Rochelle and Westchester Community College.  Terence is a licensed school counselor and director of a school-wide counseling program in Westchester County and was a Certified Relationship Specialist through the American Psyhotherapy Association.  He has written blogposts, articles and textbook chapters for the National Association of School Superintendents, the American School Counselor Association, the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, and Today's Catholic Teacher.  Terence has presented to audiences across the United States and other countries on parenting strategies and brain-based interventions in the classroom.

...and he's the parent of a young adult who made it through his teen years.
